CHICKEN AND BACON BBQ PIZZA

The title says it all. It has BACON, so it must be good! This recipe is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters! This has been one of our favorite recipes lately! It's not too hard to understand why... Who doesn't LOVE pizza? Great for that leftover chicken in the fridge! This is my go-to dough recipe for a crust that turns out perfect every time!
 

 
 
CHICKEN AND BACON BBQ PIZZA
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 15-20 Minutes
Serves: 4-6
Oven Temp: 400 F
 
DOUGH:
1 T. Yeast
1 T. Sugar
1 C. Hot Tap Water
2 T. Oil
1 tsp. Salt
2 1/2 C. Flour
 
TOPPINGS:
BBQ Sauce
3-4 C. Mozzarella Cheese
Cooked Bacon Pieces
Cooked Chicken, Shredded
Minced Onions
Other Optional Toppings, olives, green peppers, etc.
 
  1. Combine yeast, sugar, and hot tap water in mixing bowl. Give a small stir and let rise for about 5-10 minutes.
  2. While waiting for yeast to rise, preheat the oven, and combine flour and salt in separate bowl.
  3. Add oil to dissolved yeast, next adding in flour and salt mixture.
  4. Mix with dough hook on 1-2 speed for about 5 minutes or until combined.
  5. When combined, sprinkle small amount of flour on dough and kneed about ten times.
  6. Place back in bowl and let sit for about 5 minutes. 
  7. Spray pan with cooking spray. Spread dough on pan evenly with floured hands.
  8. Spread desired amount of BBQ sauce on dough. Add toppings.
  9. Cook at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
